The Serenity House of Lewisburg, Inc. was founded in 1987 to provide a meeting place for people recovering from alcoholism, people close to them seeking support, and as a social hub for the local recovery community.
AA and Al-Anon groups gather for routine meetings each week and of course, there are occasional sober social events. The House provides a sanctuary for individuals to meet with their sponsors to do step work.
A member who found recovery in Serenity House, made a sign and hung it above the door. It says, “Hope is Found Here”. A sentiment echoed by thousands who have come through the doors over the years.
